Welcome to the
Princess Kira of Prussia Foundation –

A FOUNDATION WITH A LONG TRADITION OF HELPING DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN

Since the 1950s, the Princess Kira of Prussia Foundation has committed itself to helping disadvantaged children and young people in Germany and around the world. During these more than 70 years, the foundation has offered them opportunities to spend holidays and work on creative projects at Hohenzollern Castle and other locations. The aim of the foundation is to offer children a safe space where they can leave their everyday worries behind. In addition, working on various projects offers them new perspectives and a chance to develop confidence in their own abilities.

Numerous projects have been planned for this year, from opportunities to experience nature on the Princes’ Island to a musical production composed and performed by children and young people at Hohenzollern Castle. Here we work with a diverse spectrum of partners from Germany and abroad.

We are incredibly distressed by the events and fighting unfolding in Ukraine, which is especially having an impact on families and children. The Princess Kira of Prussia Foundation would also like to offer its support and has therefore already taken in some of the first arriving refugee children at Hohenzollern Castle.  Most of them are orphans, foster children or children with disabilities who have finally made it to safety after several days of travel.

We would be pleased to receive your support as well so that we may maintain our longstanding commitment to helping others.
